The US Department of State website is a good source of useful and up to date information:
- Adoption Information Flyers and the International Adoptions brochure
- Consular Information Sheets: CISs are published to provide information for travelers, such as the location of the US Embassy, health conditions, political situations and crime reports
- Any serious and specific security threats not addressed in that country’s CIS will be publicly announced by the State Department. If the threat were sufficiently serious, a Travel Warning would be issued advising against US citizens traveling to that country.
The USCIS website is another source of useful information.
